A Statement for Public Awareness<\/p>\n
On the first anniversary of their martyrdom, we solemnly and faithfully commemorate today our heroic comrades: Comrade Dindar Avesta, a leading member of the Shingal Resistance Units (YB\u015e); Comrade Jiya Faqir, a member of our Military Council; and our young pioneering comrade, Biran Bir. They fell on September 17, 2023, in the Sredasht area of the Shingal Mountains, as a result of an aerial attack carried out by the Turkish occupying state.<\/p>\n
Their sacrifices remain a beacon lighting the path of resistance and dignity. Their pure blood stands as a promise that Shingal will remain unbreakable and steadfast in its choice of freedom and legitimate self-defense. Our pledge to them endures, and their memory will forever live in the conscience of our people. Our struggle continues until the goals for which they fought and were martyred are fully achieved.<\/p>\n
As an Ezidi community, we are currently going through one of the most significant and meaningful historical phases. Our enemies, led by the Turkish occupying state, alongside the forces of treason and the enemy of our ancestors (Dzhmeni Kuki), are utilizing all methods and means to destroy our gains, break our will, and leave us without leadership or vanguard to guide our path.<\/p>\n
They are systematically targeting our leaders who bravely confronted the ISIS mercenaries and contributed to their defeat, in an attempt to avenge the great victories they achieved. In this context, the role of the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s intelligence (Parastin) in these schemes becomes clearly evident. Sadly, some individuals who are considered part of the Ezidi community have fallen into becoming pliable tools to implement these policies, trading the blood of Ezidi leaders and bargaining with their lives for petty cash. This collaboration and lack of dignity has led to the loss of many leaders and pioneers in our community. Among these leaders and pioneers, we mention Dindar, Jiya, and Biran, who were martyred on September 17, 2023, as a result of an aerial attack carried out by the fascist Turkish state, with the support of treacherous networks and the enemies of our ancestors.<\/p>\n
Our comrade Dindar was among the first young Yazidis to join the ranks of the \u015eingal Resistance and was, at the same time, one of the founders and builders of our forces. From the very first day of his involvement, he emerged as a prominent leader, pioneer, and revolutionary wherever he struggled. He was one of the commanders of our war against the ISIS mercenaries, fighting across every inch of \u015eingal\u2019s land and against both the mercenaries and the forces of betrayal.<\/p>\n
He took part in the liberation of most neighborhoods in the city of \u015eingal and its surroundings, and he also joined many liberation campaigns in Rojava. In the winter of 2015, he enrolled in the first academic training course held in \u015eingal, seeking a deeper understanding of the philosophy and truth of Leader Abdullah Ojalan. With his humble leadership style, firm stance in life, and tireless dedication, he trained his comrades and built strong bonds with all of them based on genuine camaraderie and earning a special place in their hearts.<\/p>\n
He became the kind of leader and role model to be emulated. He built his life around the guidance of Leader Abdullah Ojalan, particularly the principle: \u201cEvery moment, except during operations, is a moment for training.\u201d Thanks to his passion for reading and learning, he grew into a wise figure, and always carrying a book with him and reading whenever he had the chance. In this way, he united theory with practice and became one of the true pioneers of our community.<\/p>\n
Comrade Jiya Faqir was one of our distinguished commanders who played a vital role in leading the struggle against ISIS mercenaries. In every moment of hardship and adversity, he would step forward to lead without hesitation. He never faltered in carrying out his duties and responsibilities, and his character embodied the full essence of the Apo\u2019<\/span>s spirit of resistance.<\/p>\n He stood as a model among his comrades, and marked by humility, courage, devotion, and a deep sense of comradeship. He lived each moment of his life with meaning and purpose. His efforts to strengthen our forces were tireless and boundless. He dedicated himself wholeheartedly to protecting our cause and gains, and until his final breath, he fought with steadfast commitment and in full accordance with revolutionary principles.<\/p>\n Comrade Biran Bir was one of the noble sons of our people, hailing from the “Bir” class, which has long represented the essence and values of our community, playing a leadership role for thousands of years. This leadership continued through Biran, Jeko, and Tekosher, and remains strong to this day. Biran began his quest for freedom in his youth, and shortly after the ISIS mercenaries’ attacks on \u015eingal, he joined the \u015eingal Resistance. With a deep understanding of the especial war being waged against the Yazidis, especially the youth, he sought to neutralize the enemy’s efforts through self-awareness, organization, and personal training. Known among his comrades for his passionate spirit, he immersed himself in the ideas and philosophy of Leader Abdullah Ojalan, embodying the Apo\u2019<\/span>s principles in his actions, work, and life. Biran’s dedication led him to take part in numerous activities, consistently achieving outstanding results.<\/p>\n As we remember and pay tribute to our martyrs, we also issue a firm warning to those who have admitted their guilt and come to recognize the weight of the crimes and betrayals they have committed. To them we say: \u201cThe longer you remain on this path, the heavier the price you will ultimately pay.\u201d Everyone must understand that the path of espionage and treachery leads only to regret and disgrace. As a community and as a force, we will never forgive those whose hands are stained with the blood of our people and comrades, they will be held fully accountable for what they have done.<\/p>\n Once again, we renew the promise we made to our people and our comrades, and affirm our commitment to continue the struggle along the path illuminated by Dindar, Jiya, and Biran with their Apo\u2019s spirit.
